Promotion of Constitutional Values among Younger Generations
For over five years, Vaan Muhil Trust has been at the forefront of promoting constitutional literacy and democratic citizenship among children through its pioneering Constitutional Values Education (CVE) Programme in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Puducherry. Our work focuses on equipping children, educators, and community stakeholders with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to build an inclusive, democratic, and secular society. Through this initiative, we have successfully trained children, school teachers and community workers, enabling them to become advocates for constitutional values within their communities. A key achievement of the programme has been the establishment of Constitutional Rights Education Clubs across these three states and in the Union Territory of Puducherry. These clubs provide safe and engaging spaces where children learn about their rights and responsibilities, develop leadership skills, and actively participate in civic and community life.
