For over five years, Vaan Muhil Trust has been at the forefront of promoting constitutional literacy and democratic citizenship among children through its pioneering Constitutional Values Education (CVE) Programme. Our work focuses on equipping children, educators, and community stakeholders with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to build an inclusive, democratic, and secular society.

Recognizing climate change as one of the most pressing challenges of our time, Vaan Muhil Trust is committed to building awareness and promoting climate justice among communities, particularly those most vulnerable to its impacts. The Trust organizes seminars, workshops, and community awareness programmes on climate justice, with a special focus on the increasing frequency of extreme weather events such as erratic rainfall, floods, droughts, and rising temperatures.

Vaan Muhil Trust is committed to strengthening democratic values and fostering active citizenship among young people. To enhance their understanding of democratic governance and local self-government, the Trust organises one-day workshops and training programmes for rural youth in its project villages, as well as for college students across the Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts. These programmes provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Panchayati Raj Institutions, their roles and responsibilities, and the importance of participatory governance.

Vaan Muhil Trust is committed to nurturing confident, informed, and responsible young people by establishing Adolescent Girls’ Groups and Adolescent Boys’ Groups across its project villages. These groups provide safe and inclusive spaces where adolescents can learn, interact, and develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate the challenges of adolescence and prepare for adulthood.
